Prairieland Food Recipe Blog
Prairieland Food Recipe Blog HELP!
Currently the new blog is being populated with recipes from Prairieland Food participants. It just takes time!
If you are a PLF participant and want YOUR recipe posted, with a permalink (so you can share with family and friends online!) please send it, along with your name, city and state to:
Contact and subject for recipe submission.
Keep in mind that if you want your recipe to go out to all participants by email you still need to send it to June or Linda at PLF HQ. Please also indicate this action when you email Buddy Services, so we don't duplicate your recipe when it comes to us through June or Linda.
Be sure to follow the Blog for email notices.
This area at the blog contains note worthy items from outside PLF - like the closing of Angel Food Ministries. Also included may be host site specific items, if and when deemed necessary.
Permalink to Prairie Paks, Specials, Choice Items and Bonus Packages by month. Here at the Derby KS host site we are constantly asked "What is in a Prairie Pak?" If you get this question as much as we do, you will now have a permalink to current and past prairie paks. PLF HQ does not archive this information online and a blog is the perfect place to store this type of information.
Please NOTE: Prices posted for Prairie Paks, etc. are the prices we use for the Derby KS host site. IF your prices are different, you'll need to make sure your host site participants know the difference.
For older Prairie Pak information, archives are found here, at this website under "Past Prairie Paks."
Why a Blog is a great online asset.
For archival purposes a blog is your best bet to have all your content stay where you put it. CMS websites are great, if you have a high level of experience with content, linking strategies, and profuse knowledge of marketing online. If not, a CMS (content mangement system) website can be very limited because of the inexperience of the users involved.
With a Wordpress Blog (which is also a type of CMS) your content, with a little experience thrown in, can reach a wider range of participants, because SEO for such sites is built in and easier to maintain. Web 2.0 (the interactive web) is at it's best at a blog or wiki. Wordpress is currently the best blogging platform out there and for this reason, we've set up the new blog at Wordpress.
A blog site includes vlog (video blogging) capabilities for even a novice user and since people can sign up to follow a blog easily and have the ability to comment, add helpful content, and reach out to each other, it is one of the greatest assets you can have for your company.
One caveat: You should be ACTIVE at your blog and think through the linking strategy carefully.
YES, your business should have a website, but smart business owners also maintain a blog to accentuate the static content of their flagship website.
